Heavener Public School had the privilege of hosting Dr. Steven Dryer, who shared his inspiring personal journey of growing up with dyslexia and the strategies that contributed to his success. Additionally, Ms. Kim Seaton, our Regional Literacy Specialist, led a training session titled Science of Reading Dyslexia Takeout. This session equipped teachers with valuable insights and resources to support their students effectively.

A huge thank you goes out to HS academic team members, Hector Hernandez, Talan Hinds, and Dawson Frizzell for volunteering their time to moderate and keep time for our 5th & 6th grade Regional Academic meet this week. They did a fantastic job working the meet; however, their impact of being there was even greater as the 5th & 6th grade teams got to see leadership skills and encouragement in action. #alphamentors #alphacommunity
