Heavener Public Schools meal update ...
Per the USDA guideline waiver, Schools will now be allowed to give two meals during distribution. One breakfast and one lunch will given to our to students.at one time ....with this the time of distribution window will be 8AM-10:30 AM , at both distribution sites, elementary awning and the Glenn Scott center... it still is a grab-n-go distribution. Per USDA GUIDELINES students must be present to receive a meal .Remember no student congregation and social distancing will be in effect . Thank you for your help and understanding . #ALPHACARING

Parents, HPS will offer breakfast and lunch to any and all persons under 18 in the Heavener area community beginning March 23,2020 due to the mandatory school closing. The process will be a drive thru/grab-n-go distribution process. As no student congregation is advised during this time frame. Distribution will be at the elementary awning., and the Glenn Scott center. Per federal guidelines students must be present to receive a meal. TIME : Breakfast distribution 7:30-8:30 AM..... Lunch distribution 11:30-12:30 PM

Heavener schools, community and patrons , per today’s action from the Oklahoma State Board of Education, and due to the concerns of Covid -19 ( Corona virus ) all schools and school activities will be closed through April 6 across the state. We are in unprecedented times , please take this time to start making the necessary arrangements for your children in regards to child care/daycare. HPS plans to offer food service during the days past spring break that we are closed ..., More information will be forthcoming as the date approaches. Take this time to discuss appropriate social distancing and hand washing and, avoid large groups. Thank you for your in help in this matter. Mrs. Rye’s 3rd Grade class is taking advantage of the current situation by starting a handwashing experiment. One piece of bread was untouched by human hands, one was touched by dirty hands, one by hands washed with soap and water, one with hands sanitized with hand sanitizer, and one was touched by a chromebook. Stay tuned.....
