FYI...HEAVENER PUBLIC SCHOOLS TRAVELS TO KEYS PUBLIC SCHOOLS THIS FRIDAY NIGHT FOR HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL. THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION ON COVID-19 OPERATING PROCEDURES FROM KEYS PUBLIC SCHOOLS IS LISTED BELOW. Keys Public Schools Vol Woods, Superintendent Steven Goss, Athletic Director/HS Principal Keys Public Schools COVID-19 Event Guidelines (Football) 1. All individuals entering Jerry Hood Field must wear a facial covering upon admittance. 2. We encourage spectators to bring lawn chairs for socially distanced seating. 3. Fans seated in the bleacher area will be expected to wear their facial covering when social distancing is not able to be achieved outside of their family group. 4. The concession will be open, but facial coverings must be worn while waiting in line. Concessions will be limited to pre-packaged candy, popcorn and drinks. The grill area will not be open unless Cherokee County drops to a yellow or green on the OSSBA COVID Map. 5. KPS is a strong advocate of sportsmanship, but all non necessary physical interaction between teams will be eliminated. There will not be hand shaking post game. KPS will allow the visiting team to leave the field first and we ask that fans from both teams exit the stadium at the completion of the contest. Deadline extended until October 31,2020 COVID-19 STUDENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM ($300) Program Summary The COVID-19 Student Assistance Fund will provide eligible Choctaw Nation tribal member parents with a one-time $300 allowance, per eligible Choctaw dependent, that may be utilized for school clothes, masks and other necessary school supplies needed to respond to the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency. To receive this assistance, Choctaw Nation tribal members will be required to attest that they and their children have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency. Eligible Age: 3 to 18; if school age you must currently be an enrolled, non-post-secondary student to qualify. Application Dates: July 6, 2020 to October 31, 2020 Benefit: $300 per eligible Choctaw Nation tribal member Service Area: National applications are available at the Choctaw nation of Oklahoma website
