Heavener cross country runner Seth Lynch earned his first cross country medal from the Meet of Champions Saturday, in addition to the school's first men’s. Steven Cruz also participated in the meet of champions for Heavener as the top 10 runners from each class participated. Both Cruz and Lynch also will run in Rogers, Arkansas as they earned spots to represent team Oklahoma at Dual State.

Wolves finish third at state EDMOND – Heavener’s boys finished third in the Class 3A state cross country meet Saturday, shattering a school record. Seth Lynch set a school record while finishing fifth and Steven Cruz was ninth. It was Cruz’s third all-state and Lynch’s second. They both qualified for the upcoming meet of champions with their performances. Also setting personal records were Isaac Cook, Parker Brand, Abel Carrizales, Galaad Garcia-Perez and Dawson Frizzell. The Lady Wolves were represented by Allison Palmer and Alexa Cruz.
