Intern Spotlight:
Belen Aguilar is senior and works in our elementary school with Mrs. Roop's 1st grade. She usually can be found helping students with reading or math, but recently Mrs. Roop said she utilized the students' spelling words with an art project by having the student use finger paint. Belen is undecided on a career path, but has gained valuable knowledge from interning because she is learning to be more patient and mindful, not just with the students but with others as well. Her favorite thing about internship is building a friendly relationship with the students and knowing that they can come to her if they need help with anything. After high school she wants to continue her education and pursue her dreams. Belen says, "I want my ambition to succeed in life to guide me through my future." We are so proud of our 1st grade intern!

PSA ... The city water department will be conducting a water repair that could affect the entire city water service beginning at 10PM tonight. It is unknown at this time as to when the repair will be completed. HPS will be monitoring the situation. Please know that the repair could be completed by tomorrow morning, or water service could still be off. Notification will be made as soon as we know if water continues to be off prior to the starting of the school day .
