Often in life, one is asked what they hold most dear to them. For Mayra Garcia, family and friends are among a few of the most important things in her life.

“My parents are the most important thing in the world to me. My parents are always encouraging and supportive. They always encourage and push me to focus on what’s important for me and my future.  My mom is my biggest supporter because I know that no matter what, at the end of the day, she will always be there to guide me, and for her, I am forever grateful.

My two younger sisters, Jasmin and Sofia, are two people who are extremely important in my life. Whenever I am having a bad day I know that I can count on them to brighten up my day regardless of the circumstances that I am facing. We all share a strong bond and it something that I strongly treasure.”

With family and friends, there is love. Friends are ultimately a factor that helps every one of us get through difficult times and help give us support when we need it the most.

“I am thankful for the love that surrounds me every day. The love that comes from my family and friends is immense. Their love provides support, encouragement, and acceptance. Love has provided me with the strength to get through tribulations.

My friends are one of the things in life I deeply cherish. Their friendship is very valuable to me. I can always count on them to help me open my eyes to the positives and negatives in life, and how to deal with it. Throughout life crisis, whether it be difficulty with school or a personal problem, they always stand by me and help me overcome it. They always provide encouragement, support, and trust. The trust and love I have towards them is something special that will always hold a special place in my heart. My friends have definitely helped improve my quality of life. I went through my high school years with them and, for that, I am eternally grateful. I hope that years from now, when I look back at it, that I will see an abundant amount of good memories.”

For MaryBeth Ford, family and friends are among a few of the vital things in her life, but she also expanded on a few more factors.

“Being in good health is the most important thing in my life because I am able to spend more time with my friends and family, enjoy the love in my life, and follow my passion.

Freedom is the second most important thing in my life because, with it, I am able to explore and make my own choices, to decide for myself and see what path leads me to success.

Education is the third most important thing in my life because it is a vital tool that is used to mitigate most of the challenges faced in life. The knowledge that I have attained through education has helped me open many doors to a lot of opportunities to ensure a better future.”
