The First Purge Movie Review
“The First Purge” is a 2018 thriller/fantasy and also a series including The Purge (2013), The Purge Anarchy, (2014) The Purge Election Year, (2016) and The First Purge. (2018) This particular movie follows the events leading up to an “experiment.” In hopes of letting people release their inner demons and the hatred people have towards society, this experiment makes all crimes including murder legal for 12 continuous hours only once a year. It is in fact rated R due to disturbing content and strong language but I myself loved this movie. I have been watching the series since the very first one and at the least, you can say I am obsessed.!
As the movies continue to flow in it is hard to remember that this is all a fantasy, The world has so many people filled with hatred that the thought of this happening seems very real. In the beginning, it starts off with a murder convict talking about how he needs some type of way to release his anger saying he needs to “purge” by using that term they decide to start an organization called the NFFA (New Founding Fathers of America.) For 12 hours all hell breaks loose, it starts out with barely any activity then slowly starts to progress with the murder convict making the first crime.
Drug lords, gangs, ex-convicts and many more jump right on the wagon and start purging, I really enjoyed watching this movie and the ones before also. One thing I like about these series is that you don’t have to watch the movies in order to know what’s going you can watch them in order or not, They are a really good series especially if you enjoy movies that keep you on edge and questioning what will happen next.
