The application for Oklahoma’s Promise has opened.  Students may apply for Oklahoma’s Promise beginning their 8th grade year and up until the end of the 10th grade year.

To qualify, the student’s family must not have over $55,000 adjusted gross income, so it’s best to choose a time frame to apply when your income meets this requirement.  For example, if your 2020 income has been negatively impacted by the pandemic, you might consider waiting until after January 1, 2021, when you’ve filed taxes on 2020 income to apply for Oklahoma’s Promise.

Students must meet specific academic requirements throughout high school, and upon the second income verification after completion of high school, the student’s family may make up to $100,000.

For more information, see the Oklahoma’s Promise web site. To apply, choose the red “Apply Now” button in the upper right of their web page at https://www.okhighered.org/okpromise/

You may also pick up printed applications from your school counselor's office.
