Mrs.Genevie a teacher here at Heavener High. has been teaching here for 12 years. She got her Bachelors from the University of Maryland and her Masters from Oklahoma University.
Q: What is one of your hidden talents?
A: I am an everyday superhero.
Q: What makes a “good day” at school?
A: If there are no meltdowns, and no behavior problems, and when the students want to learn something.
Q: How do you show school spirit?
A: I dress up for spirit week.
Q: What is your favorite lunch in the cafeteria?
A: The turkey dinner the have during Thanksgiving,
Q: What is the best thing about being a teacher?
A: I get to be around the kids.
Q: What is your favorite school sport to watch?
A: I love watching them all!
Q: If you could take your student anywhere in the world where would it be. Why?
A: That would be anywhere outside the United States. Because anywhere you go can be a learning experience and to be able to teach them all about the different cultures and to show them there is a lot more to the world.
Q: What is your first memory of school?
A: Mostly it is all high school because I had a lot of awesome English teachers that got me to see the difference in teaching and enjoying it.
Q: How do you think your students will remember you?
A: I hope that they remember that my classroom was a safe zone and this was the person that cared about me.
