Ms. Courtney Luman is our English II teacher. Her favorite part of teaching is getting to know and care for her students, but she hates grading all of the papers. In high school she had a teacher named Mrs. Hollan, who actually inspired her to become a teacher; she said that Mrs. Hollan always pushed her students to achieve. She studied English at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith. Ms. Luman has taught for four years, two of those at Heavener. During her free time she loves spending time with her family and fiance, reading, and quoting movies with her brother. Ms. Luman also gets to work with family; her brother is a coach and her mother works at the Scott Center.
